Rewrite?

IMO this page isn't newbie friendly. It's very obvious to me that this guide was written by an advanced user. For example: referring newbies to the forums is a bad idea. That place is a maze. Instead, we should hilight specific threads.

The overall organization for the newbie guide is good. It just needs to be written so my mother could understand it.
